Carrying a booking between screens

The one idea that makes the rest of Schedule make sense.

A booking is something you carry

Most diaries make you open the diary first, then hunt for the right job. TradeFlow365 works the other way round. You pick a job up wherever you already are, on a customer's page, in a search result, or in the diary itself, and carry it to where it needs to go. A dark banner tracks whatever you're currently carrying, so you always know what's in your hand and can put it down again without losing it.

Where a booking can start

  • Customer Workspace: tap Book Job or Book Survey on a job, and it's carried straight into today's Schedule, ready to place.
  • The diary itself: tap + Add Booking and search for a job or survey, or tap an existing booking to pick it up and move it.

However it started, the rest of the journey is identical: the same review screen, the same confirm button. Learning one way of booking teaches you all of them.

Nothing commits until you confirm

Picking something up never changes anything by itself. Tap a worker's lane, or a time slot, and TradeFlow365 shows you exactly what it's about to do (worker, day, time, duration) before anything is saved. If another booking already occupies that time, you're warned before you confirm, not after.

Nothing disappears until something safely takes its place

This matters most when you're moving an existing booking. The original time isn't cleared the moment you pick it up: it stays reserved, shown as a “Moving…” placeholder, right up until you confirm a new time. Change your mind and tap Keep original slot, and it's exactly as it was, nothing was ever double-booked or briefly unbooked while you were deciding. See Moving, rescheduling and reassigning a booking for the full walkthrough.

Carrying doesn't follow you everywhere

If you're carrying something and navigate to a different day, it's put down rather than dragged along. You're taken to a genuinely new part of the diary, and asking it to also remember an in-progress booking from a different day would make that jump harder to trust, not easier. Pick it back up from where you started if you still need it.
