One mechanic covers a later time, a different day and a different worker. There's nothing extra to learn for any of them.
Tap any booking in Day view. A short menu appears with two options: Move booking and Edit details. Move booking is for changing when, or who, the booking is with. Edit details is for everything else about the booking itself (notes, materials, equipment) and opens the same editor as before.
Tap Move booking and the original slot turns into a dashed, gently pulsing “Moving…” placeholder rather than disappearing. It's still there, still reserved, for exactly as long as you're deciding where it goes next. Every other lane briefly tints so free time is easy to spot.
Switch day or view while you're holding a booking and it's put down rather than dragged along with you (see Carrying a booking between screens for why). Pick it back up from wherever it ended up if you still need to move it.
Tap a new time in the same lane to reschedule. Tap a slot in a different worker's lane to reassign the work, whether that's the same day or a different one. There's no separate “reassign” button: moving a booking to a different lane is what reassigning it means. The review screen shows both the current time and the new one, so the change is always obvious before you confirm.
Tap Confirm move and the booking updates in place, it's the same booking throughout, never deleted and recreated. Tap Keep original slot instead and it snaps straight back to exactly where it was. Either way, there's never a moment where the booking is genuinely gone from the diary.
On a larger screen, you can also drag a booking directly to a new time in the same lane. It's a faster way to reach the same review screen, not a shortcut around it, so you still get a chance to check the details and any conflict warning before it's confirmed.
